Dubai International Arbitration Centre Appoints New Head

Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), an initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced the appointment of Dr. Hadif Al Owais as its new acting director. Dr. Al Owais will replace DIAC's current director, Dr. Hussam Al Talhuni.

Established in 1994, the Dubai International Arbitration Centre is an independent, non-profit institution that has established itself as the most prominent Arbitration Centre locally and regionally providing flexible and impartial mechanisms in resolving and settling international disputes.

"On behalf of DIAC's Board of Trustees, I would like to express our utmost gratitude to Dr. Talhuni. His contribution to the centre has been invaluable and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors", said Dr. Habib Al Mulla, DIAC Board of Trustees Vice- Chairman.

"To guarantee a seamless transition of leadership, we have unanimously chosen Dr. Al Owais as the new acting director of DIAC and he has our full and complete support", added Dr. Habib Al Mulla.

Dr. Talhuni's successor is no stranger to DIAC as he holds the position of its Executive Committee Vice Chairman among other private and public positions.

In his new capacity, Dr. Al Owais' primary focus will be on supporting the local and regional business community by continuing to provide the best commercial arbitration services that live up to the global reputation Dubai has achieved.
