"Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk" Law group defended honour, dignity and business reputation of the politician Oleksandra Kuzhel' in the case against Mykhailo Brodskyi.

On November 2, 2010 the Kiev-Svyatoshinskyi court of the Kiev region obliged to refute the unreliable information, spread by Mykhaylo Brodskyi, an acting Head of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship.

During the internet conference, that took place on June 14, 2010 in one of the respected internet publishing, Mykhaylo Brodskyi groundlessly accused the predecessor on the post of State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Oleksandra Kuzhel' of embezzlement of the state funds. Also Michael Brodskiy allowed himself to give exceptionable comments in respect of the former Head of the Committee.

According to the act of the court the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship is obliged to refute the information, mentioned during the June internet conference of M. Brodskyi in a 20-day term from the moment of entering of the act into force.

"Regardless of the fact that consideration of the case was extended by the court for 4,5 month, the result is more than objective and legal. During this time there was not a single solid argument and proof of credibility of the comments given by Mykhailo Brodskyi. With its act the court underlined once again that no one has a right to insult and groundlessly accuse people in public, even in such politicized country as Ukraine", - said attorney-at-law Oleksandra Pavlenko, partner with Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk Law group, member of the European arbitration chamber.

"The court soundly acceded to the arguments of the plaintiff that Mykhailo Brodskyi spreaded unreliable information, acting exactly as the Head of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship. Thus, an obligation to refute the untruthful information was legitimately laid on this central executive body", - noted attorney-at-law Markyyan Halabala, Pavlenko & Poberezhnyuk Law group.
