President of the European Arbitration Chamber Gennady Pampukha participated in a panel discussion on "Problems and prospects of development of arbitration in Ukraine", which took place by the Permanent Arbitration court of the Ukrainian National Committee under International Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and the Arbitration Chamber of Ukraine.
It was noted that the development of arbitration in Ukraine is vital to attract investment and innovation in the Ukrainian economy and helps to protect the rights of small and institutional investors, reduce corruption and other legal risks. The development of the arbitration is the key to deepening cooperation between Ukraine and in human rights activities with international organizations and promote judicial reform in Ukraine. The arbitration proceedings, despite the presence of the law "On arbitration courts" has some obstacles to development and overcoming of which will be discussed at the round table.
The event was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Justice, the Deputy Minister of Justice, the People's Deputies of Ukraine, the chairmen and judges of courts of arbitration, representatives of the legal community, international organizations and diplomatic missions.
