The Qualifying round of the National Competition on International Arbitration, which is held under the auspices of the European Arbitration Chamber, took place on March 15th 2012. All teams have prepared memorials and competed in the debates. Actions and speech of participants were assessed by point system based on the knowledge of law and its application to the facts, the ability to answer questions, the credibility and the art of oratory.

The qualifying round determined trio of finalists:

- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv

- Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University

- National University of "Odessa Law Academy"

The final competition will be held on 27th of March , 2012.
