The delegation of the European Arbitration Chamber took part in the international conference "Construction and real estate: expertise and appraisal", which was held in Prague on November 1st, 2012.
This event was organized by the EAC’s partners - Russian Chamber of building experts "Rosstroyekspertiza" and the Chamber of forensic experts of the Czech Republic.
The leaders and representatives of the national expert associations from Ukraine, Russia, Belgium, Austria, the UK, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, France, the Czech Republic, as well as international arbitrators, mediators, experts exchanged their views on the development and improvement of legal expertise in the building and construction field.
On November 2nd , 2012, the meeting of the EAC’s took place in Prague. The agenda of the meeting included topical issues relating to the activity of association in the near future.
The members of EAC from Russian and Czech Republic proposed to establish the International Expert Center under the European Arbitration Chamber, which will keep single register of legal experts of different specializations from Europe, CIS, Central Asia.
I believe that the International Expert Center will be demanded not only by the ICAC under the EAC, but also by the other international courts of arbitration in disputes, which require to appoint independent experts as specialists of expertise in a particular field of knowledge.
At the meeting it was decided to assign responsibility for the implementation of the project to the member of EAC Sergey Zakharov.
The presentation of the International Expert Center is planned to be held in the last decade of March 2013.
The participants also agreed to hold the Annual General Meeting of the EAC’s members in Prague on last decade of March, 2013.
