European Arbitration Chamber became a partner international research project “Forum for Freedom and Growth”, which took place in Katowice.
President of the European Arbitration Chamber Hennadii Pampukha made a presentation on the characteristics of the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Ukraine. The head of the International Centre of Forensic Expertise Sergey Zakharov devoted his report to the examination, as an important tool for resolving disputes in major investment projects.
The Forum for Freedom and Growth was a citizens’ initiative aimed at identifying the best, from the viewpoint of freedom and growth, legal solutions among the regulations functioning in 21 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including your country.
The culminating point of the Forum is the Congress which was held in Katowice, Poland. The event gathered together prominent representatives of political, legal and business circles, who discussed the findings of the study and attempt to find solutions that may be implemented in the participating countries. These discussions was based on the results of the 10-month research process.
The importance and innovative character of the Forum have been recognized by many renowned institutions and organizations, such as the European Arbitration Chamber, as well as public officials, i.a. Mr. Tibor Navracsics – European Commissioner for Education, Culture Youth and Sport and Mr. Paul Varul – former Minister of Justice of Estonia.
